Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune clinched the Winner’s Trophy at Cummins India’s prestigious REDEFINE 2024 B-school case study competition, with Team Musketeers delivering an exceptional performance. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Tiruchirappalli’s Team Strategic McQueens earned the runner-up spot in the competition, which focused on the theme “How Digital Solutions Enable Sustainability in Traditional Businesses?” The event saw participation from 3,780 students across 1,260 teams representing 18 of India’s top B-schools.
The two-day grand finale, held in Pune, featured leadership sessions, networking opportunities, and visits to Cummins’ Technical Center India and Kothrud Engine Plant. Six finalist teams presented their innovative sustainability solutions before a distinguished panel comprising Anupama Kaul (HR Leader), Subramanian Chidambaran (Director – Corporate Strategy), and Ajay Patil (CFO). The winners were selected through a jury evaluation and live employee voting at the Cummins India Office Campus.
SCMHRD’s Team Musketeers also won a social media contest for their engaging LinkedIn introduction video. Reflecting on the event, Anupama Kaul praised the participants' creativity and emphasized the competition's role in fostering innovation and collaboration. Subramanian Chidambaran highlighted the relevance of digital solutions for sustainability, commending participants’ analytical and strategic thinking.
The finalist teams included Power Innovators (SIBM Pune), Carbon Crushers (IIM Mumbai), Team CnP (IIM Lucknow), ISB_101 (ISB Hyderabad), Musketeers (SCMHRD Pune), and Strategic McQueens (IIM Tiruchirappalli). REDEFINE 2024 showcased the potential of young minds to revolutionize industries through innovative solutions.
