The company released its 10th Annual CSR Report, titled “Building Together a Million Dreams,” showcasing the transformative effects of its strategic community outreach. The report highlights the role of partnerships in driving sustainable impact, with more than 40% of the beneficiaries coming from the SC and ST communities.

Tata Motors’ CSR efforts span 94 aspirational districts across 26 states and 8 union territories, broadening the company’s reach beyond local communities.

Vinod Kulkarni, Head of CSR at Tata Motors, shared, “We are immensely proud of the strides we have made in transforming over one million lives through our committed CSR initiatives. Our ‘More for Less for More’ strategy has empowered us to drive efficiencies, optimize resources, and scale up programs, significantly extending our reach. This success is a testament to the unwavering support of our partners and the trust of the communities we serve.”

Key Focus Areas in Tata Motors' CSR Efforts:

Water Security Initiatives
In collaboration with the NAAM Foundation, MGNREGA Department, and the Government of Maharashtra, Tata Motors rejuvenated 106 water bodies under the Amrit Sarovar Mission. This effort has added 1,860 million liters of water capacity, benefiting agricultural productivity, raising water tables, and ensuring year-round irrigation across Palghar, Pune, and Satara districts.

Integrated Rural Development
The company’s Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP), launched in Maharashtra’s Jawahar block, has expanded to other areas including Pune, Sanand, and Lucknow. The program has reduced migration from 45% to 25% in some areas and boosted household incomes by 60%, while also improving access to potable water and reducing school dropout rates by 10%.

Environmental Sustainability
Tata Motors, in partnership with the Government of Maharashtra and BAIF Institute, has planted 1.7 million saplings across Palghar district, transforming 13,000 acres of unutilized land into productive farmland. Additionally, its Urban Forestry initiative in Pune has planted 125,000 trees, absorbing 300,000 kg of carbon annually and improving local biodiversity.

Educational Support Programs
The ENABLE Programme, aimed at providing academic coaching to students preparing for medical and engineering entrance exams, has supported 18,000 science students annually. In 2023-24, 27% of online program participants qualified for IIT JEE, while 79% succeeded in the NEET exams.

Youth Skill Development
The LEAP program, which provides auto trade skills to underserved youth, has trained over 1,500 individuals annually. Partnering with various institutes and Tata Motors dealerships, the program boasts an 80% placement rate within or outside the company.

Supporting Tribal Livelihoods
Tata Motors has helped establish a Farmers Producer Group (FPG) for local youth in Pune district’s Junnar and Ambegaon talukas, enhancing the livelihoods of over 5,000 families by facilitating the procurement and sale of hirda berries. This initiative has generated INR 4 crore in revenue over four years, reducing migration and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Health Initiatives
The company’s Malnutrition Treatment Centre (MTC) in Jamshedpur has expanded its outreach, treating 5,500 children annually for severe acute malnutrition. Tata Motors has also partnered with local organizations in Uttarakhand to improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities.

Employee Volunteering
With 59% employee participation, Tata Motors set a new record in volunteering, contributing 117,000 hours of community service throughout the year.

Tata Motors continues to focus on using its resources to address critical social issues, aiming to create lasting and impactful change across India.
