WhatsApp Image 2024-12-24 at 2.57.52 PMIn a progressive move, 39 transgender individuals have joined traffic duty in Hyderabad, marking a significant step toward inclusivity and equal opportunities. The initiative has been well-received, with enthusiastic cooperation from the authorities and strong resolve among the transgender personnel to perform their duties with discipline and dedication.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police conducted a 15-day training program to prepare the selected individuals for their new roles. City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his support in enabling this initiative.

Currently, two transgender personnel are deployed in the Patabasti Santosh Nagar limits, while one is stationed in the Malakpet area. This milestone sets an example of empowerment, demonstrating that with proper encouragement and support, the transgender community can actively contribute to society.

Encouraging more members of the transgender community to step forward and participate in such roles will not only provide them with opportunities but also help foster acceptance and equality in the broader community.
