Humane Society International India Rebrands as “Humane World for Animals” with a New Global Campaign Featuring Sia

India, February 13, 2025** — In an effort to better reflect its mission and global impact, the renowned animal welfare organization Humane Society International India has officially relaunched as *Humane World for Animals*. This rebranding marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the charity, with a global integrated marketing campaign to highlight its ongoing fight against animal cruelty across the world, including India.

The organization has been at the forefront of global animal welfare efforts for over 30 years and has made significant strides in India for more than a decade. The rebranding, which is effective immediately, is designed to unify the organization’s international efforts under one name and logo that communicates its all-encompassing dedication to protecting animals worldwide.

Kitty Block, President and CEO of Humane World for Animals, shared her enthusiasm about the rebranding: “Since our founding, we’ve continued to adapt to maximize our impact for animals around the world. This important next step in our historical journey ensures our global mission and bold work are clearly understood. As our teams around the world work more closely together, uniting under one global brand now reflects our shared vision and strategy.”

Humane World for Animals works tirelessly to combat the root causes of animal cruelty, including the fur trade, factory farming, animal testing, trophy hunting, and the illegal wildlife trade. In India, the organization has been actively campaigning against factory farming, supporting animal welfare laws, and rescuing animals from cruelty and disaster situations such as floods and landslides.

Alokparna Sengupta, Managing Director of Humane World for Animals India, emphasized the importance of the rebranding for their local efforts: “Our new name and logo clearly express our commitment to animals both globally and locally, which our ambitious work here in India will continue to advance. Whether that's campaigning to end the cruel confinement of farmed animals or advocating for increased penalties for animal cruelty, we are committed to creating a kinder world for all creatures.”

As part of the relaunch, the organization has released an emotionally powerful stop-motion animation video. This video, set to a new version of Peter Gabriel’s iconic song “Solsbury Hill,” has been recorded by Grammy-nominated global pop superstar Sia. The music video showcases a future free from animal cruelty and will air across TV networks in the U.S., U.K., and Australia, in addition to streaming on social media platforms worldwide. In India, viewers can watch the ad on YouTube, and Sia’s version of the song is available for streaming on Spotify, with proceeds benefiting Humane World for Animals.

Sia, who has been a vocal advocate for animal rights, expressed her connection to the cause: “As someone who grew up feeling like she didn’t have a voice, I've always felt a deep connection to animals and have developed a strong passion for advocating on their behalf, since they can't speak for themselves. I’m honored to be a part of this project with Humane World for Animals, as they work to make a greater impact for the animals we love.”

The campaign, which also includes high-visibility billboards across key cities in India — Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Delhi — highlights the efforts and achievements of the organization. Global creative consultancy Lippincott provided strategic counsel on the development of the rebrand, while the ad was produced by Nexus Studios in collaboration with director Johnny Kelly. The ad features five animal stories, each underscoring the success of Humane World for Animals’ worldwide campaigns to reduce animal suffering.

To mark the official launch in India, Humane World for Animals will hold a special event in Hyderabad on February 15th. The high-tea reception will be attended by key partner organizations, philanthropists, government representatives, and actor and animal welfare advocate Smt. Amala Akkineni, who will be the guest of honor.

As part of the ongoing campaign, supporters are encouraged to watch the ad and listen to Sia’s exclusive version of “Solsbury Hill (Humane World for Animals Cover)” on streaming platforms.
