TGSRTC Announces Discounts on Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Bengaluru Bus Routes  

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced discounted fares for buses on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route, effective Wednesday, February 19.  

As part of the special concession, passengers can now avail of a 10% discount on Lahari buses** (non-AC sleeper cum seater super luxury) and an **8% discount on Rajdhani AC buses**.  

Additionally, TGSRTC has also introduced a **10% discount on all buses traveling from Telangana to Bengaluru**. Announcing the offer, TGSRTC Managing Director **VC Sajjanar stated, “The discount applies to all services operating to and from Bengaluru, saving passengers between **₹100-₹160 per trip**.”  

### Popular Routes and Online Booking  
The Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Vijayawada routes are among the most frequently traveled long-distance routes in Telangana. Travelers can visit **www.tgsrtcbus.in** for advance booking.  

### Special Buses for Maha Shivratri  
On February 18, TGSRTC announced **special bus services** for **Maha Shivratri** to accommodate devotees. During a review meeting, **Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar** directed officials to deploy special RTC officers to manage congestion at bus stations.  

The minister emphasized ensuring **safe and comfortable travel** for devotees heading to **Vemulawada, Srisailam, Edupayala, and Keesara Palakurthi** temples. He also noted that **more buses would be deployed** this year due to an expected increase in devotees compared to last year.  

The meeting was attended by TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, Financial Advisor Vijaya Pushpa, and other officials 

Infrastructure Developments in Telangana  
In January, TGSRTC approved **major infrastructure projects** with administrative sanctions for:  
- **Peddapally bus depot:** ₹11.70 crore  
- **Eturunagaram bus depot:** ₹6.28 crore  
- **New bus stations:**  
  - Mulugu – ₹5.11 crore  
  - Huzurnagar (Suryapet) – ₹3.75 crore  
  - Madhira (Khammam) – ₹10 crore  
  - Mangapeta (Mulugu) – ₹51 lakh  
- **Bus station expansion:**  
  - Manthani – ₹95 lakh  
  - Modern bus station in Kodad (Suryapet) – ₹17.95 crore  

These developments aim to improve public transport facilities across Telangana.
