Mir Qurram Ali
Mir Qurram Ali (born 8 January 1998) is an Indian advocate, politician, journalist, and social activist from Hyderabad, Telangana. He is known for his work in legal advocacy, youth leadership, and political activism, particularly through the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), now Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He currently practices law at the Telangana High Court and is widely recognized as a youth icon of Telangana.
Early life and education
Mir Qurram Ali was born in Hyderabad, Telangana, into a Muslim family from the Charminar area. He completed his early education at IZM Boys High School and Fountain Head High School. He later attended Agrawal Junior College (AJC), where he became the President of the AJC Student Union.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Acharya Nagarjuna University and is in the final year of a Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB) from Mahatma Gandhi University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M).
Career
Political activism
Qurram Ali began his political journey at the age of 12, inspired by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and became actively involved with its student wing, TRSV.
In 2014, he was appointed TRSV President of Agrawal Junior College and served as the TRSV Charminar Coordinator during the MLA elections. He played key roles in the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections and the 2020 Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
