Founder and Organisers along with the tutors from Akshaya Vidya NGO visited the Bharosa Centre of Hyderabad City Police: These are young boys & girls belonging to Singareni Colony, LB Nagar, and Borabanda, studying inter to a degree from poor families who volunteer and assist young children from downtrodden families in their studies. Each student teaches a group of 30 children from slum areas. The foundation sponsors the high school education of these tutors and is presently involved in helping thousands of children from 150 centers.
Hon’ble Minister Sri Mohd Mahmood Ali Garu applauded the efforts and collaboration of Bharosa and Akshaya Vidya NGO which has initiated an awareness campaign against Child Sexual Abuse in 966 slums of Hyderabad City.
Minister appreciated Sri Prasad, Founder of Akshaya Vidya NGO, Sri Vivekanand, President of Akshaya Vidya and Smt Arundathi Reddy, Academic Advisor of Akshaya Vidya for their relentless efforts in running this NGO successfully, also urged tutors to speak out without fear about crimes and bad elements in their society and that their identity will be kept confidential.Sri Anjani Kumar, IPS the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad interacted with these tutors and educated them that everyone has good and bad in self, but we need to encouraged them to continue their good and avoid bad while behaving with others. CP Hyd applauded tutors that they are nation builders and have to rise up to the occasion. Also, he stated that Hyderabad city police will work together with Akshaya Vidya in curbing crime in slums.
Smt Shikha Goel, IPS, Addl. CP Crimes appreciated the voluntary services by these tutors and thanked them for their yeoman service in the slum areas of Hyderabad. She encouraged these students to dream big and work hard towards achieving their aim. She asked them to be the eyes
and ears of the Police and help in creating awareness about issues relating to women & children, encouraging them to be vocal by being the voice of the voiceless.

Sri Prasad thanked Hyderabad City Police for their initiation and collaboration in reaching out to all the slums of Hyderabad city in particular and Telangana State in general in the future.
