The last few weeks have been quite testing for the sanitation staff of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), who despite a gruelling schedule, managed to discharge their duties during Dasara festivities, weekend get-togethers at Tank Bund and Charminar apart from the Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. In the last few days, the workers in the GHMC sanitation and entomology wings had a packed schedule. Between October 15 and 19, the staff were kept on their toes due to work related to removal of debris from various water bodies after immersion of idols of goddess Durga   cleaning up the Tank Bund main road after Sunday Funday and the historical precinct of Charminar after the ‘Ek Shaam Charminar Ke Naam’ programme.
