Grand launch of Deccanwood Cine Association in city

Hyderabad: A new association for film crews from the South on lines of Bollywood, Tollywood -- Deccanwood was launched amidst much fanfare in the city recently. Deccanwood president  Mohammed Taskeen Ahmed Hartley appealed to the film actors and crew to join the association as ID cards will be issued soon. He thanked Minister of Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for their support to the Deccan film fraternity. Mohammed Taskeen  Ahmed  requested all the actors to join the Deccanwood for their bright future and support the membership drive.”Deccanwood will allow the artists to take part in shooting work and help them to become stars,” he said, adding that for any help one could contact their office in the city. He said the advantage of an artist card is that it creates unity among the members and helps them to create an extended family.He said the motive of the artist association is to resolve the problems/issues amongst artists and producers based on their shoot assignments mutually agreed upon. If pending, recovering their rightful dues from the producers, to keep a watch over the rights of its members videlicet, reappearance and dubbing, etc.The association assures to strive to stop the exploitation of its members. With film/TV serials, professional disputes of any member against the Producer will be considered only after the completion of 6 months from the date of grant of membership. Any dispute against any producer notwithstanding the membership of the association the matters of controversy over 3 years would be entertained.
