While speaking to the media in a press meet Ex Setwin Chairman & TRS Bahadurpura Incharge Mir Inayat Ali Baqri said that womens day is being celebrated every year on 8th March to highlight womens power and empower them to reach more heights.
He said that On March 6, the celebrations would commence with different sections of women tying Rakhis to the Chief Minister. Later, students, doctors, sanitation workers and SHGS groups leaders would be felicitated. This would be followed with human chains resembling "Thank You KCR".On March 7, TRS leaders would visit the houses of Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR kits and other welfare pro grammes beneficiaries and interact with the family members. On the last day, there would be special meetings with women at constituency level to discuss different issues and involve them in different programmes.
He also said that a grand felicitation program would be held at Urdu Maskan to felicitate the all the women workers from Municipal Corporation to VIP sectors.
