MBT Spokesperson Amjad Ullah Khan Alleges BRS Embraces Soft Hindutva Stance
Amjed Ullah Khan, the spokesperson for Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), has thrown down a challenge to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, MLC K Kavitha Rao, and Minister Harish Rao. Khan dared them to contest from the Goshamahal constituency against BJP Candidate T Raja Singh, asserting that such a move would demonstrate their commitment to secularism and opposition to Hindutva.
According to Khan, the BRS party is taking a soft Hindutva stance by avoiding confrontation with Raja Singh, fearing that it could harm their own electoral prospects. He pointed out that Raja Singh had been acquitted in numerous hate speech and riot cases over the past nine years, often with the active support of the Telangana Government and its administration.
Amjed Ullah Khan's statement followed the BJP's decision to lift Raja Singh's suspension and clear his candidacy for the Goshamahal Assembly Constituency. Khan noted the irony of this move, stating that it contrasts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's calls for tolerance and respect for all religions.
Khan also revealed that the BJP had previously suspended Raja Singh due to his disrespectful behavior towards senior party leaders and verbal abuse. However, after he made blasphemous remarks against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), they took the opportunity to suspend him.
Regarding the upcoming elections, Khan mentioned that the MBT would decide on supporting the Congress candidate from Goshamahal after internal discussions. He expressed confidence that the BJP would perform poorly in the Assembly elections and believed that Raja Singh would lose his seat.
