Central Forces flag marches in districts in view of MCC

Hyderabad: As many as 3000 central force personnel, who arrived in Telangana, would perform election duties along with the state police. The Election Commission directed the Telangana police to utilise services of Central forces in law and order issues placed in sensitive areas and especially during vehicle checks in seizing cash.

With the Telangana police claiming that they seized huge cash, the Election Commission has given instructions to Telangana police to make Central forces part of cash seizure as the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force.

Meanwhile, the district police have conducted flag marches with the Central forces at sensitive areas to create awareness among people and to prevent untoward incidents during the elections.

In Mahbubnagar, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Harshavardhan co-ordinated with the central forces and organised a flag march. Two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) companies have participated in a 10 kilometer long flag march from Police headquarters covering clock square, DMHO office, Ram Mandir, One Town Police Station, Bhagiratha Colony Kaman, Pasula Krishnareddy Garden, SS Gutta, New Town, Via Bus Stand.

The SP Harshavardhan said that in order to create trust among the voters during the Assembly elections, they have conducted a flag march for ten kilometers of the town without disturbing peace and security. The flag march was a part of the duty of the police especially to instill confidence in the voters and ensure that the elections are held in a peaceful atmosphere.

In Nagarkurnool, the Border Security Forces (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have conducted flag marches along with the Superintendent of Police (SP) Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.

The SP said that the central forces along with the Nagar Kurnool District Police conducted a flag march and route marches in view of Assembly elections. To ensure that no untoward incidents take place and to ensure that the voters cast their vote freely without fear during the elections, they would utilise services of central forces.

In Suryapet, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Hegde said that they have conducted a flag march from Colonel Santosh Babu Square via PSR Centre, Shankar Vilas Centre, Gandhi Square to New Bus Stand with the District Police and Central Armed Forces. The Police Parade of area domination programs was organised across the district to create awareness among the people and citizens about the election rules and the role of the people in the elections. He said that every citizen should follow the election rules and exercise the right to vote responsibly and freely.

In Jogulamba Gadwal, to avoid any untoward incidents related to the assembly elections, the district police administration is working hard to conduct the elections incident-free. The district police force has received an additional 100 CRPF central forces and soon more central forces will come to the district.

The SP Ritiraj said that the central forces have already implemented the election code and met with the officials on the rules to be followed during the election and given appropriate instructions.

Police along with the central forces will be carried out at inter-state border check posts at Pulluru, Nandinne, Bulgera, Ryalam Padu, Sunkesula check posts and at Beechupalli check post which is an inter-district check post and at railway stations and bus stands. She said that extensive checks will be carried out within the stations, and even when confidential information is received.

In Vikarabad, Sashastra Seema Bal personnel have been deployed to the district and the Central forces have organised a flag march along with the district police. The SP N Koti Reddy said that the objective is to conduct elections in a peaceful environment for the people.

This flag march started from NTR cross Road in Vikarabad town to main intersections of the town, BJR intersection, bus stand, railway station, Mahashakti Chowrasta and ended near NTR cross Road. In this rally, a rally was organized with three companies of Sashastra Seema Bal of Central Forces and the personnel of District Reserve, QRT and Home Guard Officers.--
