Changes to Raja Deluxe over Prabhas's growing stature?

Reigning star Prabhas's larger-than-image has been growing by the day and it has reportedly forced makers of ‘Raja Deluxe’ to incorporate more action and romance into this otherwise horror comedy. "Director Maruthi to shoot two action sequences and set to add more dose of romance as three pretty girls like Nidhi Agarwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Malavika Mohanan are roped in. Meant to dish out a proper commercial entertainer, justifying the enhanced image of Prabhas," says a source.

Initially, director Maruthi wanted to make a compact spooky film like ‘Chandramukhi’ which was a horror thriller but justified the presence of superstar Rajinikanth with a kind of fine balancing act. "Few changes of been made to the script of ‘Raja Deluxe’ besides incorporating a few betterments to deliver a star-centric horror flick.

The alterations were necessitated since the film is set to release after big-ticket movies like ‘Salaar’ and ‘Project K’. In both these movies, Prabhas will be seen in an action avatar and he is going to indulge in no-holds-barred action sequences. Hence, any film coming thereafter has to live up to his existing image and demand certain fine-tuning," he adds.

However, director Maruthi is not designing it as a typical pan-India film but it would be a ‘regional-centric’ horror drama loaded with spine-chilling moments. "The majority part of the filming to take place in a house and about Rs 6 crore was spent on that set," added the source.-
