Parliamentary panel visits Barosa center
Hyderabad: A parliamentary panel on women empowerment visited the Bharosa center of Hyderabad city police. The committee, which was led by Dr Heena Vijay kumar Gavit, was explained the functioning of the Bharosa center and all the facilities such as legal services, medical facilities, child recreation room, victim
compensation for POCSO and Rape cases etc, which is under one roof. The committee appreciated and lauded the efforts made by the city police.
The panel was received by the Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Crimes
& SIT. Shikha Goel, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Sirisha Raghavendra.
In the last six years the Bharosa centre has touched the lives of more
than 10,000 families including
DV Cases 7536, POCSO Cases 1438, Rape cases 465 among others.
