New order for people diagnosed with omicron after two foreign returnees found carrying new variant
Kolkata, Dec 23 (UNI) The West Bengal government has directed that the
people coming from high risk countries must undergo complete isolation in the designated hospitals once anyone is diagnosed with new variant omicron.
The new order came after two people, one each from Nigeria and the UK,
were diagnosed with omicron.
The two have been under constant vigil and efforts are on to
identify people who probably came in their contact.
The city airport in a fresh alert asked all the passengers to always
wear a mask when stepping out of home, carry a sanitiser or wash hands frequently and maintain a distance of 6-feet from others to stay protected from coronavirus.
The prices of COVID tests at the airport were further reduced.
The cost of the Rapid PCR test has been reduced to Rs 2900 from Rs 3600 and RT-PCR test now cost Rs 600 as opposed to the earlier price of Rs 700.
