In a dazzling display of skill and determination, Syed Mohammed Hussain, proudly representing the Pako Martial Art Academy, has clinched a gold medal in the 61 kg category within the men's division at the 1st Shubokai International Senior Karate Championships. This remarkable feat unfolded at the prestigious Kotal Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad during the two-day event that ran from December 30 to 31, 2019.The Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Srinivas Goud, was quick to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the young karate sensation for his stellar performance. Venkateshwar Reddy, the Sports Chairman of Telangana, also showered praise on Hussain for his outstanding display in this championship.Transitioning into the Youth category and competing in the bantam weight division, the Hyderabad karate champion showcased exceptional skill by defeating the reigning bantam weight Junior World Champion from Ukraine in the semi-finals. The final bout saw Hussain face off against a formidable opponent from China. Despite his determined efforts to penetrate her defense, she adeptly countered his attacks and secured points.
In the final round, Hussain adopted a more aggressive stance. However, his Chinese adversary met the challenge head-on, displaying precision in her attacks. In the end, Hussain emerged victorious, securing his second gold medal at the age of 18 in the 1st Shubokai International Senior Karate Championships, marking a significant milestone in his promising career.
