Hyderabad: A rehearsal was conducted for the use of an elephant for Muharram procession in the old city on Saturday afternoon. The city police, Nehru zoological park and Wakf board officials monitored the procession as the elephant will carry Bibi ka Alam from Dabeerpura on 10 Muharram i.e. on August 20. The 38-year-old elephant Madhuri from Kolhapur brought for the highly revered processions in the Old City. Earlier, the Telangana government had accorded permission for the use of elephant next week.
