KTR inaugurates 2BHK units near Chanchalguda

Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, Home Minister Mahmood Ali, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala inaugurated the flats in the Old City on Saturday.

Hyderabad: The two-bedroom, hall, and kitchen (2BHK) apartments were inaugurated by Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao at Pilligudiselu near Chanchalguda on Saturday. A total of 288 flats spread over nine floors were built by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 24.91 crore.

The minister announced that 2BHK flats at three more locations would be inaugurated soon. “The State is progressing in all sectors. Nowhere in the country such a programme is underway on a huge scale.” 

He stressed that while building the houses, quality was not compromised. “Construction quality was given utmost priority while building these houses. To make sure the beneficiaries do not bear the maintenance cost we have built 19 shops. The rents from the shops can be used to maintain the housing colony,” said the Minister.

He also said scores of developmental works have been taken up in the Old City including the construction of flyovers.

Home Minister Mahmood Ali, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi,  Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala, and other leaders participated in the inaugural function.
