Hyderabad: Prolonged Drain Overflow Plagues Rangeela Khidkhi, Yakutpura

Residents of Rangeela Khidkhi, Yakutpura, have been grappling with severe hardships due to the persistent overflowing of drains in their locality for over a week. The streets have been inundated with dirty water, causing significant inconvenience for the residents.

The foul stench emanating from the stagnant water has made daily life unbearable, with women and children particularly struggling to navigate the waterlogged roads. The entire stretch of the colony is covered with filthy water, creating hazardous conditions for pedestrians.

“Due to the stagnation of water for over a week, the area has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes,” said MBT party spokesperson Amjedullah Khan during his inspection of the locality on Wednesday, February 5.

Amjedullah Khan urged the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) and GHMC officials to visit the site promptly and address the issue to alleviate the suffering of the residents.
