Balakampet Residents Struggle with Civic Issues, Urge Authorities for Immediate Action

Hyderabad: Residents of Balakampet, near Nature Cure Hospital, are grappling with severe civic issues that have gone unaddressed despite repeated complaints. From unchecked garbage dumping to public safety concerns, the locality is in dire need of urgent intervention by the authorities.

Garbage Dumping Turns Locality into a Health Hazard

One of the most pressing concerns is rampant garbage dumping by residents of nearby bastis. Piles of waste have become breeding grounds for mosquitoes and snakes, increasing the risk of diseases such as dengue and malaria. Despite raising multiple complaints, no concrete action has been taken. The residents are demanding that the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) install a designated garbage bin to curb this menace.

Illegal Parking Fuels Crime and Public Nuisance

Illegal overnight parking of travel vehicles near the Government School has created an unsafe environment for residents. The abandoned vehicles attract anti-social elements indulging in drinking and substance abuse, making the area unsafe for pedestrians, especially women and children. Despite lodging multiple complaints with the ACP Traffic, Panjagutta, no action has been taken. Residents are urging authorities to install “No Parking” boards and take strict enforcement measures to prevent further disturbances.

Blind Curve Near School Poses Accident Risk

A dangerous blind curve near the Government School has become an accident hotspot due to speeding vehicles. Residents fear that if no action is taken, serious mishaps could occur. They are requesting MCH to install a speed breaker to prevent accidents and ensure pedestrian safety.

Public Drinking Threatens Safety, No Action from Authorities

The issue of public drinking near the school has added to the distress of residents. Groups of individuals consuming alcohol in the area create a nuisance, intimidating pedestrians and disrupting the peaceful environment. Despite several complaints to the SR Nagar police, no action has been taken, leaving residents frustrated and concerned for their safety.

Residents Demand Immediate Action

The residents of Balakampet are calling upon the concerned authorities to take immediate and decisive action to address these critical issues. They hope that by bringing these matters to public attention, swift measures will be implemented to restore safety and hygiene in their neighborhood.

Will the authorities finally take notice and act before these problems escalate further? The residents await a response.
