Government Schools in Hyderabad Face Challenges Due to Lack of Basic Facilities

Hyderabad: Government Schools Struggle with Lack of Basic Facilities

Despite the education department's claims of providing top-notch facilities in state-run schools, several government schools within the GHMC limits still lack essential amenities. In Bandlaguda Mandal, Hyderabad, some schools are unable to provide adequate classroom furniture, forcing students to sit on the floor.

At the Government Primary School in Ghousenagar, around 250 primary students sit on the floor due to the unavailability of dual desk benches. While high school students on the same campus are provided with benches, younger students are left to manage without proper seating arrangements.

“A carpet is spread out, and students are asked to sit on it. They struggle to sit comfortably, and it’s difficult for them to write neatly in their books,” complained Mohd Mustafa, a concerned parent.

Located in the midst of several slums, the Government Primary School Ghousenagar caters to children from underprivileged families. Parents and locals have expressed disappointment with the authorities' inability to provide basic infrastructure, which hampers the students' ability to focus and learn effectively.

The lack of fundamental facilities in these schools highlights a critical gap in the education system that requires immediate attention from the concerned authorities.
