FKCCI and Karnataka Tourism Department Host Roadshow in Hyderabad to Announce Dakshin Bharat Utsav–2024

 In a bid to promote South India as a premier tourism destination and attract investments from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector, the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, hosted a roadshow on Tuesday at the Royalton Hotel in Hyderabad. The event heralded the upcoming Dakshin Bharat Utsav–2024.

The roadshow witnessed a significant turnout, featuring notable figures such as FKCCI President Ram Chandra Lohati, Director Tourism and Chairman of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar, and Chief Coordinator of Dakshin Bharat Utsav, GK Shetty, among other distinguished dignitaries.

During the event, FKCCI President Ram Chandra Lohati emphasized the strategic importance of South India in the tourism sector, highlighting its rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and vibrant traditions. He urged MSMEs to seize the investment opportunities presented by the growing tourism industry in Karnataka and other southern states.

Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar, in his address, detailed the Government of Karnataka's initiatives to bolster tourism infrastructure and support services, ensuring a robust and sustainable growth environment for investors. He outlined several upcoming projects aimed at enhancing tourist experiences and reiterated the government’s commitment to making Karnataka a top travel destination.

GK Shetty, the Chief Coordinator of Dakshin Bharat Utsav, elaborated on the festival's objectives, which include showcasing the cultural richness and culinary diversity of South India, thereby attracting both domestic and international tourists. Shetty invited entrepreneurs to participate in the Utsav, highlighting the event as a unique platform for networking and exploring business opportunities within the tourism sector.

The roadshow also included interactive sessions where potential investors could engage with industry experts and government officials, gaining insights into the investment climate and the support available for new ventures.

The Dakshin Bharat Utsav–2024, slated to take place later this year, promises to be a grand celebration of South India's heritage, arts, and gastronomy, aiming to significantly boost tourism and related economic activities in the region.
