Inter colleges in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana are preparing to reopen on Saturday, June 1, marking the start of the academic year 2024-25. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) has announced that all inter first and second-year classes will commence on this date.

According to the academic calendar released by TG BIE, the upcoming academic year will include a total of 227 working days and 75 holidays. This schedule aims to ensure a balanced distribution of instructional days and breaks, contributing to a structured and effective educational experience for students.

Admissions in Inter Colleges Across Telangana

While private and corporate inter colleges have nearly completed their admission processes, government institutions are still lagging. The deadline for the first phase of admissions in these colleges is set for June 30, allowing some additional time for government institutions to catch up.

Affiliations and Infrastructure

TG BIE has so far granted affiliations to 2,353 inter colleges throughout Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana. This total includes 421 government colleges and 601 private unaided colleges. In Hyderabad alone, there are 177 junior colleges, of which 22 are government institutions.

Students and parents can view a complete list of affiliated colleges in the state on the TG BIE website, providing them with all necessary information to make informed decisions about their educational pursuits.

As the reopening date approaches, colleges are finalizing preparations to welcome students back to campus. With the academic calendar set and the admissions process underway, educational institutions across Telangana are geared up for a productive and enriching academic year.
