Sangareddy May 22: The Sangareddy District Collector Valluru Kranti visited as a Chief Guest on the second day of the Mango Show 2024, organized by the Fruit Research Station (FRS) in Sangareddy . During her visit, she explored various mango varieties and engaged with farmers to understand their challenges. The FRS Sangareddy highlighted the significance of mango plantations in the district, covering an area of 14 to 15 thousand acres.

The Horticulture Department and scientists in coordination with each other were asked to address the farmers' issues. Over 250 mango varieties were showcased at the event. Dr. V. Suchitra, Principal Scientist across several research centers, elaborated on how the Horse Branch popularly know as Hasta Balli branch harbors 470 varieties of mango genetic material.

Participants in the program included Horticulture Officers Sridhar (ADH), Shailaja (HO), Samantha (HO), Spandana, Keerthi, and scientists from the Fruit Research Station: Dr. Harishanth, Dr. Madhavi, Dr. Mounika, Dr. Nitish, and Yugandhar (A.O.).
