Air India Express Launches Direct Flights Between Hyderabad and Phuket, Expanding International Connectivity
Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has announced the launch of direct flights between Hyderabad and Phuket, Thailand, enhancing international connectivity for travelers. The first flight took off on January 31, operated by Air India Express.
Increased Flight Frequency for Better Accessibility
Initially, Air India Express will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. However, starting February 15, the frequency will increase to six flights per week, further improving accessibility for travelers flying between Hyderabad and Phuket.
Commenting on the launch, Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, stated,
"This new service will also offer convenient one-stop flights to Phuket from 16 cities across our network, including Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Goa, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jeddah, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Riyadh, Varanasi, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam, via Hyderabad."
Air India Express: Expanding Domestic and International Reach
Air India Express currently operates 215 weekly flights from Hyderabad, covering 20 domestic and four international destinations.
Direct Flights from Hyderabad:
✅ Domestic Destinations: Phuket, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Srinagar, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam.
✅ International Destinations: Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Phuket.
Additionally, the airline offers one-stop connectivity from Hyderabad to 12 domestic cities (including Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, and Port Blair) and 10 international destinations (such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bangkok, and Singapore).
With this expansion, Hyderabad strengthens its position as a key hub for international travel, offering seamless connections for travelers flying to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
