Hyderabad: Man Arrested for Drug Peddling in Rampally, Ganja Worth ₹5 Lakh Seized
A 25-year-old man, identified as K. Srikanth, was arrested for drug peddling in Hyderabad's Rampally area under Keesara police limits on Saturday, February 1. Srikanth, a resident of Rampally, had been previously arrested in similar cases and jailed. During his prison stay, he befriended another drug peddler, Shiva.
After their release, Srikanth and Shiva continued their illegal activities. While Srikanth was apprehended, efforts are ongoing to capture Shiva. The police seized ganja worth ₹5 lakh from the accused.
In a related case, an interstate drug peddler, Raju Jat Raju, was arrested on January 18. The 35-year-old ice cream vendor from Maharashtra, originally from Madhya Pradesh, was caught by the Commissioner’s Task Force in coordination with the Chaderghat police. Authorities seized 62 kg of ganja worth ₹15.5 lakh and a mobile phone from Raju.
