Man threatens self-electrocution over bribery issue in Telangana
Hyderabad: A man in Telangana’s Peddapalli district threatened to electrocute himself on Sunday, February 16, over an alleged bribery demand.
The man, identified as Anil Goud, climbed onto a truck outside the Regional Transport Office (RTO) and threw money at the officials in protest. He was allegedly pressured to pay a bribe of ₹8,000 to get his truck released.
In a video circulating on social media, Goud is heard saying, “I came here to get my truck released. I have completed all the formalities, yet the officer is demanding a bribe. How much more money should I pay? Instead, I will die right now—will that be enough for you?”
He also claimed that the Peddapalli police had seized two more of his trucks.
