Hyderabad Youth Leaders Hold Candlelight March Demanding Justice for Rape Victim in Buldhana
Hyderabad, February 15, 2025 – Youth leaders in Hyderabad organized a candlelight march to demand justice for a four-year-old girl who was brutally raped by her 21-year-old uncle in Buldhana, Maharashtra. The horrific crime, which occurred on February 5, left the young victim with severe injuries, including several stitches near her private parts. Doctors have indicated that the child may require prolonged treatment for her recovery.
The case has sparked widespread outrage, not just in Buldhana but across the country. Many are calling for the harshest punishment for the perpetrator and a reassessment of safety measures for women and children.
Speaking to the media during the march, a prominent youth leader stated, “This is an unthinkable crime, and the man responsible must face the death penalty. It’s not just women, but even our children are no longer safe in this society. This must change immediately.”
Addressing the issue of women's safety, the leader further asked, "Where is the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' initiative now? If we truly value our daughters, we need to take real action to protect them from such crimes."
Prominent activist Qurram Ali also expressed his outrage, stating, "This brutal act isn’t just an attack on one child, but on the very fabric of our society. We must protect our children, and the system must be more vigilant in holding offenders accountable."
The march concluded with participants chanting slogans demanding justice and stronger laws to protect children and women. The youth leaders emphasized that the fight for justice continues and that the safety of every child should be a priority for the nation.
As the investigation continues, the people of Hyderabad remain united in their call for justice, urging authorities to take immediate action and ensure that such crimes never happen again
