Tree Planting Ceremony Marks the Birthday of Farmer CM KCR: Awareness Program at Charminar, Hyderabad - A Call for Green Telangana

On the occasion of the birthday of Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), the visionary first Chief Minister of Telangana, a meaningful tree-planting ceremony was held today to honor his legacy. The event, aligned with KCR's commitment to the environment, was led by his intellectual daughter through the ambitious "Haritha Haram" initiative, which has played a pivotal role in transforming Telangana into a green state.

Advocate Mir Qurram Ali, a well-known figure in the Telangana movement, passionately appealed to the youth, students, and citizens of the state to plant at least one tree in their school, college, or home grounds as an essential step toward environmental conservation. He emphasized that KCR's birthday should be celebrated by planting trees across every corner of Telangana—from hospitals to college campuses—spreading the message of sustainable environmental protection.

Mir Qurram Ali urged the public to actively engage in the tree-planting initiative, stating, "KCR Sir's birthday is an opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment to nature by planting trees and creating a greener Telangana. Let’s bring this vision to life by planting saplings in every community."

The event saw substantial involvement from local leaders, including BRS GHMC Coordinator Mir Qurram Ali, Haritha Sena Old City Incharge Mohammed bin Salam, Dr. Manzoor, and Manjula Rani. The group conducted an awareness campaign in the Charminar area, distributing posters and urging the public to participate in the Green India Challenge, a nationwide movement designed to promote environmental sustainability.

Santosh Kumar, a key supporter of the Green India Challenge, highlighted the significance of such initiatives in building a greener future for both the state and the country. He called on members of Haritha Sena and the public to plant saplings and encourage others to take part in this important environmental cause. "Together, we can ensure that the legacy of KCR’s green vision thrives for generations to come," Santosh Kumar concluded. With this ceremony, the spirit of Haritha Haram continues to grow, reminding every citizen that a sustainable, greener future begins with individual action. By making small but impactful contributions, everyone can play a part in preserving the environment for future generations.
